    Refrigerated Freight Report

    Freight Region Report

As we head into May, there is still uncertainty regarding import levels. The freight market will endure a sensitive balance between supply and demand. Los Angeles port volumes are falling under levels of the last two years.

The Southeast market continues to tighten with spring produce volumes picking up. Neighboring states outside of Georgia and Florida are beginning to shift as a result. Central California is moving into its produce season and rates staying more balanced. With Southern California port volumes down, it is benefiting the California spot market.

Outside of rising produce areas, the market will remain steady. Fuel is declining as well, which will benefit carriers and freight capacity.
